| 🚨Police Still See Widespread Speeding On Park Street | - In the wake of a deadly crash on Park Street that killed 17-year-old Sasha Rosen, Madison police have increased traffic patrols on the street and are still seeing dangerous driving and speeding.
- Officers conducted 270 traffic stops during targeted enforcement periods and issued more than 200 citations for speeding. Many of those drivers were speeding 20 to 25 miles per hour above the 25 mph posted speed limit, with the fastest going 62 miles per hour.
- The additional patrols will continue at least through mid-April. [WKOW]
| “It’s a lot of stops. Finally putting officers out there to view and then cite violations, we’re able to finally put this number on it, which is a fairly significant number considering the low speed limit and nature of the neighborhoods around Park Street.
